How long have you being doing triathlon: this is my second year

How do you combine triathlon with your other commitments and what are your other commitments:

Other commitments: family, friends, work and travelling.
I believe triathlon fuels your enthusiasm for other aspects of your life.

Where do you like to race in Ireland:
Kilkee, Valentia Island, Ballymore-Eustace

Do you have any rituals that you go through before a race:

I usually challenge my main opponents to a game of Connect Four.

What are your goals in triathlon for 2008:

To place at the European and World Duathlon Championships
To rank highly in Premier League
To assist in the Sports Council Women in Sport initiative
And most importantly to HAVE FUN!

Favourite Food:
I have a soft spot for greasy chips! – shame!

Music:
Ah, sure a mixed bag of everything… my radio is currently stuck on Lyric Fm.

Strengths:
When given a present, I always open the card before unwrapping the present.

Favourite Places:
Dun Chaoin, Dingle, Co. Kerry.

Best athletic experience:
Winning bronze medal at the European Duathlon Championships 2007, yahhoOO!

And worst:
Getting knocked over by a cyclist during the Community Games parade through Kildare town aged 8!

Why do you think your sponsorship application was successful:
I reckon I have room for a good deal of improvement given that I’m only 2 years in the sport – also I have the enthusiasm and drive to see how good I can get!

What excites you about this sponsorship programme:
For me, the coaching is the most attractive part of the programme. Given the demands of the three sports, it’s really important to have the experienced guidance of someone who has been in your shoes. To date, Bobby has been a super coach and friend. He understands that triathlon is something to be balanced within the other demands of your life. With Bobby’s help, I am very much looking forward to the season!
