First and foremost I would like thank my parents Big Paddy (he is not called the “whacker” for being small!) and Rose for putting up with me, supporting me and sticking by me even when I had the craziest of ideas! And then there are my five younger brothers, the sensible Enda, the big fella Niall, the pure insane Johnny, the farmer Paddy and the cool, laid back, almost asleep Tom, plus of course my extended family, who make any family get together a mad, bordering on psychotic episode!
To all my friends across all corners of the world, from characters, to athletes, to coaches it has been a pleasure and let there be many more good times to come. A special thanks to everybody who I work with at Specialized, especially all of the members of Specialized Factory Racing, plus all of my friends at Oakley.
You know who your friends are when the “chips are down”. To all of those friends “who put their hands in the fire for me”, you know you have a friend here and there is always an open door in County Laois.
Without sponsors and people delving into their pockets, from family to friends, to people who simply believed in me and wanted to support me, I will always be grateful. A special thank you too all of my local community in County Laois, who have been such a huge source of support. Despite all of the beautiful places I visit, my heart always wanders back to Ireland. We have a very special country and one which I am very proud of.
A specific thanks to my cousin John who has been the cure to many an IT nightmare! John has done such a great job in building this website, plus of course my previous website (lacticburn). In conjunction with John I would like to thank all of those people who provided content for this website especially my good friend Gary Perkin for his wonderful photography. Finally I would like to thank Dave Mahedy and Alan Ward for their help in facilitating the camps needs and for being so optimistic and forward-thinking about the camps taking place at the University Arena in Limerick.
I would like to welcome you to www.bobbybehan.com. I hope to share with you some of the many great times that I have experienced because of sport and most importantly to have some fun while doing it!
Yours in sport,
Bobby Behan
